INTRODUCTION
Thank you for visiting GBA's reviewing board! GBA provides select expertise as an independent consulting landscape designer-- specializing in landscape architectural conceptual design, specified planting plans, and garden site design drawings-- to accommodate particular architects, private residences, development, and engineers. Design competition inquiries are also very welcomed. You are invited to please explore some of the different type design projects (across a 25 year timeframe) representing a range of available process-stages and levels of expression-- previewed below, and then presented "drawer-categorically" in full photo/ drawing portfolio format at the top left of your screen. GBA offers a flexible variety of landscape design services and incrementally elected trace-to-cad drawing methods to best address your interests: Design options may start or conclude with a convenient verbal consultation—and extend by choice to thoughtful alternative concept diagrams, general preliminary designs, or more detailed schematic construction drawings—depending on strategy preference. Onsite in-construction consultation, layout assistance, adjustment or necessary changes are possible subsequent stages. Projects are engaged with focused attention throughout the extent of their design process: with summary base info & analysis, essence-driven inspiring interpretations, and derivational embracing of distinctive relevant proposal ideas-- all toward a creative, practical integration of your special activity program and the most appealing significant aesthetic. Your chosen degree of design consultation and document format levels should more efficiently facilitate your construction process, basic sourcing and phasing. GBA is a primary singular designer, with adjunct or referred consultation in cases of special option. (Clients provide an integritous enthusiastic working approach, ongoing positive communication and general timeframes to best engage a studied determination of their most favorite ideas & objectives, with flexibility in the design & build processes).
PHILOSOPHY
"Innovation in landscape composition, expression, symbolism, and function"-- responsively cued -- is taken as the guiding philosophy toward a simply wonderful proposal. Your own design preferences, conceptions, existing site & structures, multiple scales of concern, and what you believe is best all around for you... are each hallmarked for uniquely positive results. The discovery and true orchestration of meritorious ideas-- contextually interacting to enhance or transform your site in a most appropriate, meaningful, attractive, valued way— is the connective designing goal. Your final landscape project plan can then be physically implemented as feasible: be it in only selected parts, or eventual stages, or fast-tracked in total. Your landscape may bring lasting pleasure as it at once persists, evolves, and naturally changes over time-- through nested cyclically-layered patterns of ever-shifting hours, days, seasons, and years.
